12 Days Namibia Trails

A brisk-climb up of Dune 45 or Big Daddy  to view the endless sea of red sand . This landmark dune offers vantage point to marvel at the endless sea of red sand .Then 4x4 transfer into Sossusvlei , where we spend time on foot visiting the pans at Deadvlei and Sossusvlei .

We depart the desert heading to Swakopmund passing through the moon-landscape as well as stop over to mark the Tropical of Capricorn , then checking flamingos and pelicans at Walvis Bay .

Route : Sesrium to Swakopmund.

In the morning we meet our local expert who will took us to the sand dunes around Swakopmund for a half a day Living Desert Tour .

Twyfelfontein means doubtfull fountain . It is one of the World Heritage Site , the world famous collection of rock engravings . The position of the engraving indicates by arrows in the rocks of a steeply sloping rivene . We have time to enjoy rock engravings , burnt mountains , organ pipes and petrified forest.

Route : Swakopmund to Twyfelfontein.

Highlights included : Seals at Cape Cross.

Khorixas is located in the Damaraland which is the home of Damara tribe . It’s a semi arid area with some few wild animals like desert  elephants  which survive in harsh conditions .

Route : Twyfelfontein to Khorixas.

Highlights included : Twyfelfontein World Heritage Site , Organ pipes , Burnt mountains and Petrified forest .

Raucana is a place where they generate hydro power to electrify the Namibia from the Kunene river which separate Namibia and Angola . The Raucana falls is one of the beautiful waterfalls in Namibia .

Route : Khorixas to Raucana.

Highlights included : Raucana Falls.

It is the home of semi-nomadic Himba tribe. The Himba tribe extremely susceptible to Western influence and dwindling number of pastoralists that still in their natural environment .

Highlights included : Himba culture village tour.

Etosha national park is unique in Africa , characteristic is salt pan so large it can be seen from space . There is abundant wildlife that congregates around the waterholes , giving you almost guaranteed game sightings . It is the most accessible game reserves in Namibia and Southern Africa .

Route : Raucana to Namutoni.

Accommodation : Namutoni NWR / Out side park or similar.

Etosha national park is the venue for some of the unique game viewing experiences in Africa . We will spend more time at the many waterholes dotted throughout the park .

Route : Namutoni to Halali.

Highlights included : Full day game.

We have a full day to explore the edges of the Etosha pan in search of the abundant wildlife that accurs in the park .

We drove back to the capital city of Windhoek to mark the end of the tour after lunch .
