Chobe National Park is renowned for its high population of migratory elephants. A sunset boat cruise on the Chobe River is a must-do activity, offering stunning views and excellent opportunities to spot birdlife and other wildlife. The Chobe River provides a rich habitat for a variety of bird species, making it a paradise for bird watchers.
Spend the day exploring the abundant wildlife of Chobe National Park, home to Africa’s largest concentration of elephants, as well as buffalos, impalas, and the legendary fish eagle. Morning and afternoon game drives along the Chobe River banks offer excellent opportunities to encounter diverse wildlife.
Visit the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, the largest salt pans in the world, covering some 30,000 square kilometers. They offer an awe-inspiring expanse of flat, white, sun-baked landscapes. The northern pans, located in Nata Bird Sanctuary, provide spectacular views and are ideal for a sundowner experience.
Travel to Maun, the main gateway to Botswana's renowned wilderness areas, including the Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve, and the Kalahari. Maun serves as the administrative center of Ngamiland district and the traditional seat of power for the baTawana people.
Explore the unique ecosystem of the Okavango Delta, where the annual floodwaters of the Okavango River spread across the Kalahari sands. Enjoy a traditional mokoro ride (dugout canoe) and guided nature walks to experience the Delta's beauty and wildlife up close.
After a morning nature walk, enjoy one last mokoro ride as you bid farewell to the Okavango Delta. Travel back to Maun, where the tour concludes.
